I went to an art show/silent auction called LAUNCH this week to support the local art scene here in town. When I saw the very last piece I fell in love-- period dressed birds on bicycles! Wow. It also happened to be one of the pieces in the auction. The bidding was easy, below the artwork was a paper where people wrote in their bid and emails.
Luckily, I found it a few minutes before the auction ended and it was way too inexpensive. So, I overrode my newly adopted cheapskate ways (I'm buying a house, bye bye savings) and scribbled in my name.
I am now the proud owner of "Untitled" by DeeDee Cheriel 9/42.
