Project Night Night

If anyone is in the San Francisco area, I urge you to go to the Project Night Night Benefit.  In these tough times, there are children who have been displaced from their homes, living in shelters or worse the street.  Project Night Night wants to make a difference in their lives.

This is their mission statement:

They provide "Night Night Packages" free of charge, to homeless children from birth to pre-teen who need childhood essentials to feel secure, cosy, ready to learn, and significant.  Each Night Night package contains a new security blanket, an age-appropriate children's book and a stuffed animal-- all nestled inside of a new canvas tote bag.  Project Night Night establishes a foundation for lasting change through the hands-on volunteer opportunities that we provide to tens of thousands each year.

Project Night Night is having an event, Moments That Matter, on Saturday, September 25 from 7-10 in Ghirardelli Square.  You can find out more information here-- http://www.projectnightnight.org/Event.html

I have donated five costume plates from the musical, My Antonia, that I did two years ago at the Rubicon Theater in Ventura.  It was directed by Scott Schwartz and the music was written by his famous father, Steven Schwartz (Wicked, Company).  Here is a preview:

They will be auctioned off to the highest bidders and hopefully help this charity out.

Please check out their site and fundraiser.  Every person makes a difference.
