Two years ago, I made a major career leap. It happened just when I had almost (but not quite) given up my dream of becoming a top notch costume designer for films, a dream that started when I was eight. Why a costume designer, I have no clue, but I was never discouraged. So here I am-- a working costume designer.
Top notch? Well, not yet.
However, after a wait that Job would admire, my big 1976 costume drama is finally going to open at the end of the month! Starring Joe Pesci and Helen Mirren, directed by Taylor Hackford (Ray, Officer and A Gentleman, Devil's Advocate) it should be good and I'm hoping it can find an audience among the world of 3D and such. As much as it has a talented actors and a great director, it's about pimps and hos. Who can resist?
Hopefully, sex sells.
