Omaha

So I'm in Omaha seeing the family and my friend Becca suggested we check out a new boutique in the Old Market. She even mentioned something about Omaha having a fashion week-- who knew. Since I'm from here, I have always known that Omaha has some great vintage spots, but this one is especially good. It not only has great inexpensive pieces, but it also has some local designers selling their creations. So after trying on half the store and bartering about what looked better on who-- we finally arrived at the register. The owner took one look at us and said "You don't live here do you?" We both admitted being from Omaha, but spending time in NYC and LA. She nodded and said, "You can tell. I'm from NYC, but back to raise my baby here." At that minute, a cute toddler rounded the corner on a tricycle and we knew she had made a wise choice.
Anyway, I now have an amazing little 30's hat, 50's black swing coat (for my Kim Novack moments) and a few other fun pieces. So if you are in Omaha, check it out:
